Meet the Management Team
Terry Lewis, FCA
Terry formed the company in 1979 because he felt he could offer a better level of service than other more conventional practices. Today his name is synonymous with the highest level of service and specialist business knowledge, which has seen him build strong working relationships with the majority of successful professional and corporate business in the region.
He has particular expertise in corporate business including acquisitions and disposals, management buy outs, mergers and the raising of finance to strengthen business growth as well as financial and tax planning matters.
Lesley Jones, ATT
When Lesley joined the practice in 1980 she was the first of many trainees to come through the ranks. Since then she has certainly worked her way up, and is today a director and head of our tax department plus represents her own portfolio of clients. Whilst she has a broad knowledge of all accounting and taxation matters she has particular expertise in VAT planning.
Rachel Searle, ACA ATT MAAT
Rachel joined as a trainee from college in 1994. In 2002 she left briefly to work for Debenhams to experience working in industry, but could not stay away for long. Today she looks after her own portfolio of clients and along with Lesley oversees the day to day management of the practice.
Charles Greenow, FCCA, BSc (Hons)
Charles is the firm’s audit manager and head of our corporate department. He joined us in 2002 having previously qualified in 1995 when working as a company accountant. In 2005 he achieved the ACCA statutory audit qualification.
Alison Pope, CTA, ACA, MAAT
Alison is a self confessed ‘tax-aholic’ who joined us in 2003 as a trainee, and has since progressed rapidly both academically and professionally. In 2005 she came first in an ICAEW exam and following her qualification as a chartered accountant in 2007 went on to complete the chartered tax advisor examinations. Unsurprisingly she forms an integral part of our tax department.
Robyn Brimacombe, FCCA, ACA
Robyn qualified with a Devon based firm of chartered accountants in 2001 before deciding to relocate to Somerset in 2007. Today she works on a variety of clients, including a number from Devon who insisted on coming with her, together with many local business people she has since come to represent.
Jenny Atherton
Jenny joined the firm in 1991 to work as personal assistant to Richard Warren, a recently retired partner with specialist farming expertise. After 18 years working together in the farming sector she has developed a thorough understanding of farm accounts and today heads our Wedmore office and is the direct point of contact for our farming clients.
Mark Edwards, ACCA, BA (Hons)
Mark joined from university as a chartered trainee in 2002 following completion of a degree in accounting and finance. After spells in the accounts department he joined our audit department where he is an important back up to Charles.
