Established in 1979 and now based in Burnham-on-Sea, Cheddar, Wedmore and Weston-super-Mare. T P Lewis & Partners has emerged as one of the most commercially aware practices in the region owing its success to the high level of professionalism and specialisation within the firm.

Our clients' activities cover all areas of commercial and industrial life. Whilst many of these businesses are run by sole practitioners or partnerships, we also act for substantial and expanding local and multi-national companies - and indeed for plc's. We recognise that each client has differing needs and are able to vary the service we provide in order to meet these individual requirements.

The Partners

Terry Lewis FCA
Terry is the Managing Partner and founder of the firm. Drawing on a wide business experience he has developed particular expertise in most aspects of corporate business including business acquisitions and disposals, management buy outs, mergers and the raising of finance to support business growth. Terry has established a close liason with clients specialising in financial and taxation planning matters. For relaxation he has a keen interest in travel and a wide range of sports.

Richard Warren FCA
Originally from the West Midlands, Richard joined the firm in 1981. Now based in Weston-super-Mare, Richard, since joining the practice has been the Principal at our Wedmore office and whilst very much a general practitioner acting for a wide range of clients, has a detailed specialist knowledge of agricultural matters. At home, his interests are based upon gardening, family and friends.

Peter Ison FCA
Peter oversees the day to day administration of the practice and is responsible for audit, financial services and compliance matters. He has conducted a number of intensive and in-depth tax investigations on behalf of clients and has successfully negotiated settlements with specialist Revenue departments. Outside the office Peter enjoys travel and participation in a number of sporting activities.

Richard Acreman ATII After several years with the firm as a Manager, Richard was admitted to the Partnership in 1996 and is now the resident partner in Cheddar. Prior to joining us Richard worked in the computer industry and this experience, combined with his accounting qualifications, gives Richard an invaluable insight into the ever increasingly important world of information technology. Richard is very involved with the Bridgwater Hockey Club and his other interests include music, ancient history and philately. He is also Chairman of Governors at the local primary school attended by his children.

Nick Gravell FCCA Having qualified with the firm, Nick was admitted to the partnership in 1999. Based in Weston-super-Mare, Nick is very much a general practitioner advising a wide range of clients on business and taxation planning matters. His more recent experience in qualifying as a Certified Accountant has led to Nick overseeing our very successful staff-training programme which results in several members of staff obtaining qualifications each year. Nick is actively involved with 'North Somerset Business Link' and sits on the steering committee of the 'Business Club'. He is Captain of the office cricket team and has a keen interest in most sport.

Joy Boswell FCCA Joy joined the firm in 1999 and was admitted to the partnership in 2002. Based in Weston-super-Mare, Joy regards herself as a general practioner but with strong areas of expertise in looking after owner managed businesses, business planning & forecasting and taxation matters generally. When not working, Joy enjoys socialising, shopping and walking.
